Classroom Update: April 9-13th

Highlights from this week:
-Our visual projects are coming along and we can't wait to share them with you! Take a look at the dates below to find when we will have our celebration and gallery of everyone's work!
-Everyone completed the Math and ELA portions of the MSTEP this week and gave it their all! MSTEP continues this coming week with Social Studies and Science.
-Students were given the chance to reflect on one of their math tests and make test corrections to earn back a 1/2 point for each answer that is fixed correctly.
-We focused on characterization and the creation of characters in what we read and write this week. Students were introduced to our next reading unit which will be fantasy!
Upcoming dates, events, and notes:
-MSTEP testing continues this week. Monday we will be taking the Science portion and on Wednesday we will be taking the Social Studies portion. Please make sure students are well rested and fed breakfast!
-April 20th: Bagel Friday! Join us for bagels, muffins, coffee, and more!
-April 26th: Join us for a celebration of our research projects! You won't want to miss seeing all of their creative projects. Their work will be on display and students will be with their projects ready to present to you from 3:00-3:45 in the King Cafe. We hope you can join us!
-May 2nd: Transition day at Clague & early release day
-May 7th: NWEA ELA
-May 8th: No school
-May 9th: NWEA Math
