Classroom Update: April 2nd-6th

Highlights from this week:
-We have been working hard on our visual projects to go along with our research papers. To get a sneak peek, check out Twitter to see pictures of our in progress work!
-We practiced for MSTEP which starts this week. Students were able to log in and try practice problems and the tools to make sure they feel comfortable with everything before testing this coming week.
-We jumped back in time in social studies and are learning about the first colonies in America. Roanoke was particularly interesting to the class!
-In math we practiced strategies for decimal multiplication and division and began the unit test.
Upcoming dates, events, and notes:
-MSTEP testing starts this week. Monday we will be taking the ELA portion and on Wednesday we will be taking the Math portion. Testing will continue the following week as well.
-Our parent Space Camp meeting is this Wednesday from 6:15-7:15.
-Our next assembly to celebrate Arab American Heritage Month will be this coming Friday. Karim Nagi, a native of Egypt, will perform and teach us about the Arab culture through music.
-April 20th: Bagel Friday! Join us for bagels, muffins, coffee, and more!
