Classroom Update: Jan 8th-12th

We are back from winter break and ready to take on the rest of the school year! Thank you for a wonderful end to 2017. I hope you all had a wonderful break and are enjoying the start of 2018. We sure had and eventful first week back with an unexpected snow day!
Highlights from the week:
-In math we are working with coordinate grids and plotting points.
-Our biography projects are coming to a close. Groups are building their final life size people to present to the class and display in the hallway.
-Students shared their persuasive essays with the class during "open mic" time.
-Project Lead The Way started this week! The students will be working with Mr. Moger to build robots.
-We were lucky enough to have a new student join our class! Cosette is joining us all the way from Mexico. We are so excited to have her.
Upcoming Dates and Events:
-We will be taking the NWEA this Thursday in the afternoon. Please ensure that your child gets a good night rest and has a filling snack and lunch.
-Our Martin Luther King Jr. assembly will take place this Friday.
